Log Sheets
You will need to add a log sheet before you can enter
log entries. Think of a log sheet as a page in your ‘driver work diary’.
Navigation Bar
Tap to add a new log sheet. Read table row section below if you want
to edit an existing log sheet.
Table Row
Has a row for each log sheet with total works hours
(W), total rest hours (R) and total long/night hours (LN) for the day.
Tap on the row to show all log entries for the log sheet day.
Tap and hold
on a log sheet to bring up up a menu to either edit or delete the select log
sheet.
If a particular row has an icon similar to on the one
above on the left side this means that you have committed a breach on this particular day.
You will need to tap on this row to go to a list of
log entries for the day to find out which one/s have a
breach.
Tab Bar
The Tab Bar on the bottom allows you go directly to
view other information available to you.
Tap on to show you how many hours you have driven for
day/week/month, when your next rest is due and to find out when you can drive next and for how long you can drive.
Tap on to view list of trucks you often drive. The
driver’s list and user information is also available if you go to vehicles tab
and then tap on ‘driver list’.
Add/Edit a
Log Sheet
To add a log sheet you will need to enter at least the
date and your base state (for calculating timezone)
for the log sheet. Other information is optional but does show when Logbook
Checker draws the log sheet for you.
Toolbar
The title will either show View/Edit Logsheet if you are editing or
viewing a log sheet already entered or Add
Logsheet if you are adding a new log sheet.
Tap if you do not want to save changes to a log
sheet already entered or cancel adding a new log sheet. It will not delete this
log sheet – if you want to delete a log sheet
go back to the list and hold down on the log sheet you want to delete.
Tap if you have finished entering/changing
information to save changes and close this entry screen.
Information Fields
Date – tap the date field
to bring up a date picker to choose the date for the log sheet.
Security
No – This
is the prefix on the top right of your Driver Work Diary which changes for each
Diary. An optional field but once you have entered it the first time it
automatically defaults to this next time you add a Logsheet.
Page No – this is the red number
of the top right of your Driver Work Diary. This is an optional field but once
you have entered it the first time, it will automatically change up by one when
you add a new log sheet.
Using
BFM – set
this to ON if you do operate under Basic Fatigue Management. DO NOT check this unless you are able to use BFM otherwise LogBook Checker will not give you correct information. Once
you have set this all succeeding log sheets you enter will default to the same
setting.
Accred No –
this
is the accreditation number that you will have been given by your employer to
record on your Driver Work Diary. Again, once this has been entered succeeding
log sheets you enter will default to the same value.
Two
Up – set
this to ON if you are operating as a two-driver. DO NOT check this if you are
operating solo otherwise Logbook Checker will not give you correct information.
WA
Rules – set this to ON if you are operating using WA fatigue
laws. If you choose this option you will be asked what option you plan to use
for both solo or two-up. You can change your option by
tapping the button to the right of this switch.
Standard
Bus – set
this to ON if you are a bus driver and want to operate under standard bus
hours. DO NOT check this unless you are able to operate under standard bus
hours otherwise Logbook Checker will not give you correct information.
Timezone – choose state from list
where you are based so Logbook Checker is able to work out your usual timezone.
Fit
for Duty – if you switch this to ON it places a check on your
Driver Work Diary which can then be emailed to your operations manager.
Night
Away – turn
this to ON and Logbook Checker will give you a total for each month of your nights
away.
Two Up Driver Information
The following field are optional to be used if you are
operating as a two-up driver. Even if you are operating as a two up driver you
do not need to enter this information as they are only used when drawing up
your Driver Work Diary page. However, once they are entered the next logsheet you add will default to these values.
Name
– Name
of co-driver
Licence
No – licence
number for co driver and field next to this is for
the state that issued your co driver’s license.
Security
No - This
is the prefix on the top right of your co-driver’s Work Diary.
Page No – this is the red number
of the top right of your co-driver’s Work Diary. Will
automatically increment by one when you add a new logsheet.
